To Norway we shall go.. I think..

Yes you read it right.. NORWAY!

I know you are saying..Didn't they JUST GET BACK??

Rune's youngest Sister (who I love with all my heart) is getting Married the 6th of September and they all want Rune to walk her down the isle. (as their Papa passed away a long time ago)
Rune really feels like he must go and be with them at this time..I do understand and feel that it will be a great thing for him and "his girls".
My worry..(some of you know this story already..lol)
The Kids.. they would not be going with us.
It is times like this that I really miss my Mom.. She would be there willing to take them and love them and care for them ..no matter what. I am now on the hunt..
WHO WILL LOVE MY CHILDREN?
Rune says he will not go if I do not go ...so I must go or he will not..

I will disappoint someone. I know..whether it is our kids, his family, my family, friends.. Someone will think I am being selfish or not thinking of the feeling of that person..I as many know am a crazy worrywart about everything.. I am so worried about who I will upset.

Pros: Rune will be happy and get to see his family again, (2 times in 8 years is not a lot to ask.) he will get to do a little more family history work, seeing Rune's Mama and the family.

Cons: leaving the kids, financial concerns, any burden placed to caregiver. (not to mention it is during the FIRST week of school.) that crazy long plane trip, new job that he would not get.

What to do?
Really what would you do?

Memorial Day's of old.

We had a great Family Dinner last night! My Sister and 2 Brothers and lot's of their kids and our Dad were all together..I thought "what a great way to spend Memorial Day Weekend!"
As we all sat and ate and talked and talked I could not help but think of the fun we always had on Memorial Day's in the past. We were all about Samuel P. Taylor Park! I have really great memories of going up "camping". All the big Breakfast's our parents made.
Taco's in the afternoon made on an open fire. Seeing our ward members (who camped too) playing baseball in the open field and playing in the creek and hiking and flirting the best I knew how with the ward boys..(never was good at it!) That smell of the campground and how much I loved our family, thats what Memorial Day was all about for me!

So for my sweet family who stop by to read the blog, here are the pictures I could find;)
thanks for coming to Our family Memorial Day trips.. :) childhood would not have been the same with out you there!

The Music

I needed a change..I moved the music around a little..BUT in doing this I found that there is NO WAY to find the song I wanted most:(

How many people remember this song?
It is from the "Mormon Kids Sing Along" tape.

"When I grow up I want to be a mother
And have a family
One little, two little, three little babies of my own
Of all the jobs, for me I'll choose no other
We'll have a family
Four little, five little, six little babies in my home
And I will love them all day long
And give them cookies and milk and yellow balloons
And cuddle them when things go wrong
And read them stories and sing them pretty tunes
When I grow up if I can be a mother
How happy I will be
One little, two little, three little babies I can love
And you will see each sister and each brother
Who look a lot like me
Four little, five little, six little blessings from above."

First time I heard it I was driving in Provo and thought it was the craziest song ever! I thought..WHO WANTS SIX KIDS! well..lol (I know, lots of people do!)
I still like the 3 kids version;)

I am sure glad have the one's I've got!

Thursday

It all started with a YUMMY Chicken taco..
I have had a little flu bug for the last 24 hours. (I hope that it is gone)

Any who... Today was going to be a very busy day in the Larsen home... Sam had a jog-a-thon
for his school.

Katie was going to have a big wheels bike day at preschool. Her day ended up to be a stay at home and play with Lilly as Mommy try's not to die day.

Lilly was going to get to go to see all of it!!

On top of that it was an "Emmet Day" as our kids call it.

So Rune could not just watch the girls..Also I had a play date set (sorry Jamie and Jessy) and Ward Welfare meetings and I was invited to a really fun baby shower..

OH...BARF! Really who gets sick as often as I do?? NO ONE! (save my sister)

SO lovingly Rune took photo's for me to see!
(and because he is a foreign picture taking kind of guy)

Fear

I have a crazy fear of the dentist. CRAZY FEAR!!
I have this little toothache that started on Easter, and has just gotten worse. Now in my brain I know..Teeth do not heal themselves and I need to go see the dentist.. In my heart I keep wishing it would just go away and life could continue on its Happy little way.

( I AM I PAIN! The hurting, sore, keep you awake at night PAIN! )

Why is it when your teeth are bugging you that you become the best brusher and flosser there ever has been?? lol I think it is like death bed repentance.. Like if I am really sorry and take good care of them this problem might magically disappear..lol

I know , I know..Go see Dr. Shawn. :( Really it is a CRAZY FEAR!
(But I have been holding it tight since I was 5.)

A Mother's Day Miracle

Miracle of Miracles..

Lilly let her uncle Jim hold her! I know it might seem odd to anyone who knows my brother, BUT Lilly really has not liked him... Well not so much that she doesn't like him but she is scared to death of him! Last night during the family fun she let him pick her up and did not scream.. in fact she was happy to be with him! YAHOO for Lilly and for Jim! He has tried to be her friend for over two years with NO LUCK. (I sure hope this lasts!)

Katie Girl was telling me right here that one day she was going to grow up to be a Mommy and I would be a Granny. Funny little girl :)

This is the best little family I know! (even if they are crazy Picture posers !)

Cousins!
It is nice that they each have a cousin the same age to play with!
(notice all the pink!)

Sam in all his Randomness..

Here are a couple of funny things Sam said this weekend..

First thing, we were down town and drove by the court house where there were MANY people picketing to legalize Pot..lol At this point Sam asks if smoking is a drug. SO, I said yes it is! Then a few moments later he asked use a very important 7 year old question, it was...
"Is picking your nose a drug?" LOL
Well, I said "Yes it kind of is Sammy.. Once you start it is very hard do stop. It is something that you hide if you are doing it and if people see you do it, you lie to cover it up." lol Then he said "what if I just can't help it?" That cracked me up!

Second thing, This morning he was sitting at the computer doing a little "work" and said..
"I just can't wait Mommy." I said "what for Sammy boy?" he said "I can't wait to see what's in store for me in my life." HOW cute!

Third he wanted to watch Extreme Home Makeover so I said he could today.. Then he yelled "Move that BUS!"..lol This was not Sam's first time at the show..I can tell! ;)

Sam has really made me laugh this week!

Mr. Robin Red Breast

Sammy came home from school with a little animal book that he was so excited about. He told us he was going on an adventure to find wild life. I was like "OK..Good luck Buddy.." Sure that the best thing he would see was a garden snake. He came running right back in telling me he had a find..Thats right he found a Robins Egg. He brought the book out to make sure I knew what it was too ;) HE was SOOOO excited! I was too! He did make a great find!
