Our first Picture together

I loved this engagement picture.
We did not use it so I thought I would use it now since I had the chance ;)
Check out my figures they are different colors than my hand! ;)
Our Temple photo..We all have one!

Eight years ago today Rune and I were married for Time and All Eternity in the Portland, Oregon LDS Temple. We had only known each other for 4 and a half months and, had only been in the same country for a little over a month.

The fact that he came here and gave up his life in Norway always amazes me! I am blessed to have a husband like Rune who loves me and is understanding of all my fears. I am greatful that we are so different yet so much the same. I could not have known that day he called me from Norway that I would in fact talk to the crazy foreign guy again!

We were talking today about how from the moment that we met it was just like that was what we were supposed to do. Even when we weren't sure, Father in Heaven was. Good for us that we listened and did what we were told to do. ;) When I think of all the dreams I had, and how he made them all come true I know I am blessed.
I LOVE YOU RUNE!

Oh what a difference 8 years can make!

Our visit with Mike and Kathi

Uncle Mike and Lilly Bean.
One of the outside birdies.
Standing over the creek
In the barn.

I know Rune has already blogged about this , BUT I want to say a little something too..lol
My brother Mike and his sweet wife Kathi are great!

Years ago when our Mom passed away Mike told me that they would LOVE my kids.. You see, I was afraid that the kids I would have one day would not have anyone love them in that unconditional way that grandparents do. Even though they are not their grandkids.. Mike and Kath love our family and think they are cute. It warms my heart that they love our babies.

We went to there home and had a supper fun day. As always they were a great host & hostess! Mike and I are a few years apart in age and did not get to grow up together. I am so greatful for this time that we have had now to be grown up friends with each other. I am also so glad that Kathi and I have a great relationship with each other and have a shared understanding of loss..I know that she feels the way about her mom that I do about mine. ( Also I am glad that she was with us when we had Lilly, she was a brave c-section pal. lol)
My Girlhood dreams of being the cool couple in the ward and having the most fun parties and being the house where people wanted to come and hang out at all the time came from watching them.
(I still want to be those people.)
Anywho, I love them thats that! :)

Farewell to our Dear Boy, Enjoy BYUI !

Our dear nephew and cousin, Aaron left for BYUI this week. We will surely miss him. He has been a joy to have in our home! These last 10 month's since he has been home from his mission we have joyed in his visits. Sometimes we would come home to find that Aaron was in the house waiting for us. Others he would just pop in to have a visit or eat with us. The fact he has felt so welcomed that he just stops by whenever he has the feeling, makes my heart happy.
In the north of Norway that is very much how it is, people do not call to see if they can come to say "Hi" nor do they wait to have an invitation, they just come over! Rune has loved this boy so much this, Aaron will never know. That simple act of sharing his time with us means the world.
For two years we prayed each night in his behalf for safety and inspiration while he was on his mission. Now we will pray for safety and inspiration in school and with the women :p lol and for the next chapter in your story!

The Tour of Bathroom's

There are few places you can go as a Mother to get away from the house, kids, dishes, laundry.. all of it!
The best place I know to go is... The Bathroom!!!

So since this is the where I go to be alone, I have spent a lot of time thinking about how it looks..

I think this is the best, most cleanest, well decorated room in our home, I decorate it for the season's and LOVE to find it new pretty soap! It is my one true place of beauty..lol
Oh, if only they had a Tour of Bathroom's, like the Tour of Homes or Tour of Gardens..
So I thought..Hmm *should I show it?*
SO, here you go..Here is Our Bathroom!

Feel free to have a tour of whatever you love most about your house! ;)

Strawberries and a little something more:)

We have had a few crazy things happen in the last days! I really think I could write the rest of my life as to the adventures that our kids (and us) get into..But for you today I will share Lilly's Strawberry Dream come true! I purchased a package of the Yummiest looking Strawberries this week! Brought them home plated them and was going to tell Rune and the kids to have some when..lol I fould THIS, she is an eater!
We knew our girl liked strawberries, BUT now we know, she LOVES them!! If you can see, she took a bite off the bottom of each and every berry, my cute 2 year old baby!

Our second odd thing.. Spiders!!!! You know it is Spring in Oregon because it rains everyday all day and the baby spiders are everywhere!! Rune went to take Sam to school on Wednesday morning and when he got home he was whiter than, well he was one WHITE Norwegian boy!! Anywho..he ran in the house and told me he thought he was in the movie Aracnaphobia..and thought spiders were stakling him..lol These were all inside my MomVAN!!

So he ran out and took these pictures, I sure am glad HE found them and not me!! The thing I can't understand is how he drove Sam to school and did not die! Really just looking at the pictures is killing me! ;)

Dinner and the 7 year old Critic ..

This evening I made super good Potstickers and Fried Rice and pears for dinner..an easy enough meal..I went a little big with the rice and put every yummy fried rice thing in it..

As we sat down at the table for dinner Sam gave me his usual dinner time compliment .."Thank You, Thank You for this yummy dinner Mommy" and I said "no prob buddy boy I am glad when you are happy." Then..lol the kid looked at me, and studied me for a moment as to see if I really ment that. Then he said very simply "I was not satisfied last night!" lol! (ok, don't go crazy insane on him LeaAnne..he is a small boy..)

Well, in my opinion we had a great meal on Monday: pork chops, apple sauce(Peter Brady), rolls, green beans, cottage cheese, tomatoes that I had cut to look like flowers..I mean it was a NICE week night meal!!!
Well the boy said the "the Pork chops just did not do it for me."
(even thought he had said the usual "thank, you thank you." hmm!)
I am thinking about having him go over my weekly meal plan and see what will work for him! ;)

Now I am just worried that Wednesday's Chicken Curry will fall flat too!
